Long awaited update

Hi all,

last few months has been pretty busy. Many of you have asked about Dragana's recovery. She fully recovered from her procedure and is good as new;-) Doctor said that she should lose few pounds (as well as I) and that is about it. Apart from annual control, no further treatment is necessary.

My mom was here until mid May. As spring came the yard work crept up on us. Luckily, my mom is born with a green thumb so everything was fine while she was here. After she left, some plants have left this world.

We have also visited the Filoli Estate that was portrayed as Blake Carrington's mansion on soap opera Dynasty. The estate itself if gorgeous and has sixteen-acre formal garden, but also plenty of walkways in the woods. Despite the fact that it is associated with soap opera, it is definitely worth seeing.

In the meantime, boys have been boys. Petar open up swim season in late April by falling in Ada's and Tara's swimming pool. He was not too happy with the event. Luka decided to make Petar feel better so he jumped as well.

The summer went very fast. We did not have any BIG vacations but managed to squeeze in few smaller ones. During the 4th of July break, wee went to visit Vanda, Steve, and Nina in Richland, Washington. It was nice to see them after more than 2 years, but temperatures above 110ºF (43ºC) made long to come back to Pacifica (and our 58 to 68ºF temperature range).

Also we have visited Maja and Joel in San Luis Obispo over the Labor Day weekend. That was nice trip too that boys thoroughly enjoyed. They loved playing with Lola (4 month old Labrador puppy). Although after getting a small scratch from her, Petar declared - Lola has very sharp teeth;-)

Petar's birthday was today and we had a party yesterday at Limos Farm. I am going to post the photos next weeks from the event at our website.

Until next time, be good, and don't do anything I wouldn't;-)

Dragana's operation went well

Hello World,

Dragana after the operation
Dragana's operation went well. I took her to the hospital Tuesday morning last week. Since I was not able to come even near the operating room, I went to work. Three hours later I got a call from the hospital staff to get her out of there. Since she slept through the operation, she looked bedazzled and was not sure if anything happened at all;-))) But, by the time we got back home she was feeling much better (see picture).

Marko's birthday
Boys have been generally good. Marko had his 4th birthday party last weekend. A lots of his friends showed up and they all had a blast. The party was in a local gym and Petar was particularly happy. He was somewhat infatuated with parallel bars;-)))

Petar in the gym
All that running and jumping in the gym might have contributed to them getting a flu later that week. Petar started coughing first, but then Marko took over. All in all, they are doing much better now.

Dragana is recovering very nicely and she is going back to see the doctor next week. I've been pretty busy at work and trying to spend some free time with the little ones. Saturday we went to Skyline College for a walk. Weather was beautiful and the view was gorgeous. The boys enjoyed the time spent with their grandma.

So long for now. I will update the blog soon with the new adventures of Crnogorac family.

Weekly update and Tahoe trip

We survived another week! Dragana went to see a doctor for her deep vein thrombosis. It is serious enough for her to have an operation on March 6. The good news is that the thrombosis is not life-threatening.

Little grandma (Nada) came on Tuesday and with one day to recover from a jet-lag we packed her up again and headed to Tahoe for a long weekend.

The trip to Tahoe was nice. We had quite a bit of snow - perfect for hitting the slopes. I enjoyed skiing, and the boys had a blast in the snow. As we were getting ready to head back to Bay Area a big storm hit.

Saturday night and Sunday during the day there was approximately 30 inches of snow (75 cm). Our normal drive that usually takes 3.5 hours took almost 12 hours. Fifteen miles of road around Donner Summit (7085 ft = 2160 m) took us 5 hours to cross. I am sure that all you math-buffs can calculate that we were traveling 3 miles per hour. We could have been faster walking if it were not for the white-out conditions and blazing snowfall;-)))

Cheers,

Milan

The first one

Hi all,

here is the first official post. Last week was somewhat uneventful. Kids are doing fine. I managed to publish a bunch of pictures (154 to be exact) on the new website (www.zmajovi.com). I will still continue to update www.milanc.com from time to time, but www.zmajovi.com allows me more storage space so it is easier to store humongous amount of pictures;-) On the new site you'll find pictures from July 2006 through end of January 2007.

Dragana went to see a doctor for her vain inflammation. She was diagnosed deep vein thrombosis, and we will know by the end of the week when will she have an operation to remove it.

My work has been steady and keeping me from the boys more than I would like. Things are going well there so I can not complain.

We are getting ready to celebrate Marko's fourth birthday, so keep an eye for that update.

My mom got her visa today and is going to come to visit us next week (for our birthdays).

Thanks for reading. Talk to you soon.

Welcome

I am jumping on the bandwagon and starting a blog. My intent is to have a single spot where my friends can get an update on important (or less important) staff that happened during that week.
